Executive Chef, Dave Salony began his culinary career at 15 years old when he was a summer apprentice at the Waldorf Astoria in 1979. There, he had the opportunity to work with many world renowned chefs. After graduating from high school he worked as a sous-chef for the Linden Tree restaurant in Bethpage, a French continental restaurant under the direction of his mentor, Chef John Catilanato. Dave joined the Singh Hospitality Group in 1997 and as they grew in prestige and size Chef Salony worked his way up from Chef de Cuisine of Singleton’s to Executive Corporate Chef of the entire restaurant group. In 2008, Chef Salony has received a three-star review from Newsday as well as a “Very Good” from Joann Starkey of the NY Times for his latest high-end restaurant, The Woodlands in Woodbury. He has since received several other great reviews at a number of other Singh Hospitality Group restaurants.
